Special Greeting

I know I said that I'm gonna post about my OJT experience, but I guess my schedule has been keeping my away from blogging. I wanted to write much about my experience but time is a luxury for me. That is, I have to delay blogging about it. T_T

As a diversion, I believe this video is worth blogging. haha. Actually, posting about this video is all I can afford right now, as I'm currently having a short break from all the stuffs for next week.

So Elmark invited me to their town fiesta in Antique because he knows how much I love Christian Bautista. Obviously, my mother didn't allow me to go there, so he thought of having Christian greet me while they are at the backstage. Lucky me for having a friend who have a backstage pass! haha

When I saw this video, I just couldn't contain myself. Had it not been during the wee hours of the morning, I would definitely scream to my heart's content.

'School' Hopping

Our OJT experience won't be complete if we wouldn't be able to visit new places. On our list is UP Diliman. Need I explain why? So we went there and well, we don't have any specific plans or idea on how to make the most out of our stay there. So out of the blue, we asked our friend to tour us, even if we're not really that close.

UP Diliman is really big, compared to our campus here in Visayas. Also, I envy their buildings. They are way too awesome and well funded, I'd say. Moving on, we had fun touring the campus and well, a little catching up with our 'tourist guide'. haha.

I believe our 'tour guide' deserves the spotlight as a token of our gratitude. Hi Erl! :)
After spending half of the day at UPD and getting our feet massacred, we still have a long way to go before our 'school' hopping comes to an end. And our next stop? San Beda College. Our friends from our respective firms joined hands to show us their alma mater. One thing I love about their school is their chapel. It was just too amazing because of the hand painted designs on the ceiling. Unfortunately though, our cameras did not give justice to its beauty.

At last, after a few arguments, primarily, me wanting to leave ahead because of a previous arrangement and them not letting me to, we reached our last stop: UST. As expected, they have really nice architectural structure.  I also love their church. Oh wait. That makes it 2 church in a row.

Mumoy moments.

Getting a little refreshment after hours of walking.

It was seriously my first time to get my feet really hurt after so much walking, but I believe it's all worth it. The day was near perfect, if only a cold war didn't not occur. I prefer that they just didn't tease me with one of my co-intern at P&A. I believe the fact that they made it rather obvious just ruined the remainder of the day. Disregarding that fact, I'd say that the opportunity cost of cancelling my appointment with my aunt at the last minute was outweighed by the other happenings of the day.

CPA for a Month

Time passed by so fast that the next thing I knew, I was ascending the stairs to the plane that will take me to the busy city of Makati.

Bright city lights that looked like ants from afar welcomed me to the place I am about to set foot once again. This place is no stranger to me. I spent the first 4 years of my life in this city. But so much has changed since the last time I laid my eyes on it. I found myself wondering if I will ever survived in such a big city. But alas, I have to. There's no other option but to survive. And I did.

For a month Makati has been my home, Donna, Jessel, Lexa, Krizza, Althea and Nang Anna, my dear roommates, became my family. There's no school to worry about. Only work, as an intern at P&A. There I met various people, from whom I learned many valuable lessons, and was able to form new friendship.

The Audit Library. The Intern;s hangout place.
Of the 51 BSA students who went to Makati for their internship, only 3 were assigned to P&A.

Meet the Alumni.
For the duration of my stay at the firm, I was assigned only to one company for fieldwork. I was very luck to work with a bunch of people like them. They were really fun to be with and very friendly. Before we bade goodbye, they made sure they gave us something as a token of gratitude for helping them. It's as if we just made exchange gifts, since we interns, also gave them something. Sad to say though, we weren't able to have  a group picture.

Its an honor to meet one of the partners:)

And yet another partner. :)

Saving the best for last.
If time and money were not a problem, I would love to stay a little bit longer at Makati. It was just one month, just a month, but there were too many memories and lessons that are too unforgettable to just ignore and store in a treasure box. Just a month but it definitely has been one hell of a month.

The past months have been so busy that I barely have time to write, much more maintain this blog. My summer vacation, if I could still call it a vacation, was all about my OJT experience in one of the established accounting firms in the country. Needless to say, I will be posting a lot about my OJT, so please bare with me. There's just too much that I wanted to share and write about, so I'm gonna be publishing quite a number of posts, and hopefully, these will somehow keep this blog alive. I'll be posting about my stay at the firm, the places we've been to, the memories that deserve to be shared, and a little bit of our food adventures along the way.

After the incoming posts, I'm not quite sure if I still have the luxury of time to write and share a little about myself as I'm currently in my last year in college. So I'm asking your pardon, in advance, if my blog will remain inactive once again.
