Man of Mystery

Man of Mystery

There's a man sitting in a room, looking lonesome
He's not ugly nor handsome
He's not one to capture your attention instantly
But later on, he'll make you ask him questions hesitantly.

He's one who seldom speak
The kind of silence that would make you wonder if he's proud or meek
But in the rare occasions he open his mouth
What escape his lips are words that doesn't hint of doubt.

He have eyes that are expressionless
Not the type that would leave you breathless
Are those eyes full of sadness and pain?
Or does it tell of happiness that would make him go insane?

A weird feeling overcomes me when I see him around
It seems that he'd built walls separating him from the crowd
I won't wonder why he's always solitary
But it makes me wish he have friends, even if momentary.

Nobody had ever intrigued me this way
It only makes me uneasy each passing day
There's only one way I could be relieved of this misery...
That's when I finally get to decipher his unique mystery .

Have FAITH

Christian Bautista is part of The Kitchen Musical which airs every Saturday at 7pm in Studio 23 and Monday in AXN in the Philippines. My favorite episode was when he sang 'Faith'. It was a nice song, plus Christian DANCED! haha...

Christian Bautista Outbound

My fave singer, Christian Bautista, just released his new album entitled Outbound. The carrier single which is All That's Left debuted at number 10 in the Myx Philippines Daily Top 10. I really love him so much that I'm going to buy his new album even if the CD player in our house is kinda having some trouble playing CDs. So here is the music video of his new song. I just so love it!!!

Soon to be INACTIVE

Hello there!

I've been out for 3 weeks because of the sem break. And I just wanted to tell you that I really missed you! But I'm gonna miss you more this semester. Why? Well, its because I made a deal just to pass my BA 11.4. I said (and even promised) that I'm gonna blog less. I know I'm not really an active blogger and now, i'll be more inactive.  I also said I'll limit the use of my laptop and social networking. I have to do all this to have less distractions. I don't really wan't to be on the edge of the cliff again. So, I have to concentrate and work and study harder. I hope I can accomplish my Do's and Don't's list.

So bye for now. See you when I have extra time! I'm gonna miss you!

SemEnder - The RetroSci Way

To say goodbye to a very hectic and demanding semester, RetroSci had a sem ender party held at one of our blockmate's beach resort. I guess it was a family owned beach resort and it's sooo cool. This is the first sem ender that almost everyone from our block came. Plus we had additional friends from the other block. I must say that we all had fun, although we didn't get to swim.

We ate nice foods and played games, and more games and many more games.  haha.

I forgot what game is this. But from the looks of the player, I  guess they were really enjoying.
The Liar Game.

Us, playing Heart Attack!
Lunch Time!
Patintero. We had to stop playing after a few minutes because Sharm got injured.
Blinded folded players have to find 25 centavo coins.
To top it all, we had a nice view of the beach and we had a chance of watching the sunset! Yipee!!

To make the moment more special, our friends decided to have jump shot pictures with the sunset as a background.
In the end it wasn't the food, the games, the resort, nor the sunset that made the sem ender memorable and fun. It was the people who came and made it happen. I soo love you RetroSci!

F is for FUN, FRUSTRATION and FREAKONOMICS

Fun. That was the least I expected to get in Freakonomics Fun Day 2011 when you asked me early this morning. Freakonomics is an activity that our Econ102 teacher proposed in exchange for our 3rd long exam. At first we refused to join considering the burden of our 114 class, but later on we changed our minds. Activities included a quiz bowl, amazing race, food fight, paindisanay, pinoy henyo, charades and the mascots. We ranked 2nd in the overall. Yey!

I was really gloomy that morning because the activity started at 9 am, instead of the scheduled 8 am. How lame! Plus our teacher was nowhere in sight. Plus the things that should have been prepared the night before had not been prepared. Things are just so unorganized. It wasn't until we won 2nd and 3rd in the quiz bee that I started to calm down.

The next event was amazing race, which I'm a part of. On the first station, we had a head start of 1 minute. When we proceed to the next, we ranked third. But we're so amazing that in the 3rd stop until the 5th we were leading. It was on that 6th station that we started slipping. The facilitator was nowhere in sight when we proceeded to the station so we thought that we got the clue wrong. We wasted minutes, only to find out that we were correct. Immediately, anger had overcome us and we ranked last.  While on the way to the 8th station, I had the feeling that we should be heading to where we started, to the Student Lounge, but I guess no one heard me. I didn't bother to repeat saying it because when we passed by, the area was closed and I didn't see any facilitator. A lot of things happened between that interval. And at the end of the race, we ranked 3rd. I so hate myself for not voicing my idea. We could have won the race. Damn it!
(Sorry if I'm biased. I just can't help posting many pictures of the amazing race.haha)

To the first stop...

Make a tower made of straw.

The other pit stops.
My favorite station. The station that started our bad luck.

While waiting to for the 3 minutes head start of the White Team to end.
Mahal and Jenny in the Kitchenomics.

Let the cheer's begin!
So what made it fun? Maybe because when you're part of Team Bolog, or RetroSci for that matter, it's always fun. We had the loudest cheer. We are the most disciplined and punctual. We are simply the amazing. We are the best. Go Team Bolog!

Well, I guess this deserves to be the finale picture. I wasn't really expecting Kim Rommel to do this.

The Final Speech

For the whole semester I've been facing one of my greatest fears/weakness: speaking in front of many people. I enrolled myself in Comm3, which was actually my last option. It has something to do with speaking and those speech stuff. It was really a fun class, especially since our teacher, Ma'am Tanoy, is such a wonderful teacher. All semester-round we had various speeches, and I must say, somehow I learned not be so afraid of the crowd. So our last speech was actually part of the lesson on small group discussions. We have to work on a group and make a stand on a topic given by our teacher. I guess we did kinda well because our teacher decided not to give us a final activity. Yippee! I'm glad we don't have to go through that impromptu speech in the auditorium. haha.

So here's our final hours in our Comm3 class.

I really had fun conquering my fears. I met more friends and got to know my friends better. Thank you so much Ma'am Tanoy for that wonderful experience. I really can't believe you're the sister of one of the terror teachers in the university. It's seems that you just have opposite personalities. Anyways, I'll miss this class...and good luck to my grade:)
