My Concept of Beauty

Sexy. Thin. White. Flawless Skinned. Tall. Rich. Fashionable.

These are the typical words people associate with beauty. In order for you to be called beautiful, you have to have at least one of the above mentioned adjectives. Perhaps society's concept of beauty lies in the external appearance of one person. Can't the black and fat one be beautiful to? Wasn't there a period in history when the chubby ones were considered the beautiful ones?

External appearance is not enough for one to be called beautiful. The above mentioned adjectives are subject to change, especially as one get old. That is why for me attitude and personality counts. One who has a brilliant personality for me is beautiful. I just don't like people investing too much on facial stuffs and spend money for this things when they are not really guaranteed that the results will be the same as what is advertised. After all, advertisements fall under marketing and so dealer's talk won't be avoided. I'm not saying that people should not buy beauty products. I just don't like it when they're spending too much than necessary, or more than what they can afford. I don't like it when people seemed to turn their faces into an artist's canvass.

One quote says 'beauty is only skin deep'. Another says it's in the eye of the beholder. If you've got nice attitude, a good personality and a positive outlook in life, surely those things will radiate and bring you an outer glow that can't be matched by any beauty product. I prefer those people who doesn't seem to put so much emphasis on their outer appearance but has invested more in their inner self. After all, external beauty won't last forever, but internal ones would. When you cease to be beautiful outside, what will become of you? If you've been known as the 'outside' beauty, how will people remember you when that beauty had faded? Better be known as a person with a unique personality, 'cause no matter what happens to your physical appearance, people will still remember you because of your personality.
